Swap-Bot Collection #4 & 5

Last Friday had two things in the mail. The first was a postcard from Inga in Germany. This is what it said on the back:

Last Minute PC Swap #10
Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. All the Best,
Inge (aladyde)

The second letter I got in the mail was a card from Australia. It was from a Coin Swap that I participated in. We had to send 5 coins from our country to two different people. Also included in the card were two yellow stickers. One of a koala bear and another of a crocodile that says "Don't Become Lunch: No Swimming". The card read:

Hi Jordan,
I'm Sally, a 32 year old mum from Australia. I have four kids so life gets pretty hectic. I too love the show The Office, both the US and the UK version. I hope this card finds you well and you enjoy the coins. Have a happy and safe Christmas.

Welcome to the world of swap bot...Watch out, it's very addictive...Hope this card isn't too weird - I call it "My Mind/Our Mind", A tribute to the chaos in our heads (at times).

Swap-Bot Collection #1

Today I have received my first item in the mail from Swap-Bot. It was for a "Quick Postcard Swap". My mailer was from somewhere in the UK, she did not put her return address so I am not exactly sure. It reads:

Hi Jordan!
I went to see this exhibition years ago and LOVED it. Having been to China, now I understand the dangily way Mao is viewed. From modern art to the countless tacky souvenirs with his face in that you can buy all over China.
Coincidentally I have lived in Ontario too!

Coach Has Ruined My Life

It is Christmas once again, and it is time to start shopping for the girlfriend. After taking plenty of notes on hints that the girlfriend gave me about presents, I thought I'd head out to purchase these expensive luxuries - Coach Purses. However, when looking at the price tags hidden in the Coach purses, I was absolutely offended and angry. $400 for a purse that will be put on dirty floors, filthy seats and banged against every door; a $400 purse is not worth it!!

I personally feel the COACH bags are absolutely over rated! There are much better bags out there. Is it just me, or are Coach handbags (w/ the "C" logos all over) way overrated?? People max there fricken credit cards just to have the name...ridiculous

So get this.... After finding an actual decent purse that she may like and worth every dollar, I find out that she just bought one today. A $380 purse with no designs and nothing fancy. Just a plain sea green bag.....Plus a matching change purse for an additional $58.

F*** MY LIFE!! This is the first time I hated Christmas and Coach!

this ends my rant...

Igloo Sweet Igloo

Hi there everyone,

If you haven't heard by now then I don't see you on a regular basis, but I am in the process of building a 14 foot high igloo in my back yard. Yes a 14' high igloo. The diameter is roughly 16'. It isn't completely round and igloo shaped yet because I haven't applied the traditional Eskimo igloo building techniques. Instead I am using a technique used by my father's friend who has also made a 14' high igloo in his back yard. His is completed and he has a TV hooked up into it, a mini bar and camping chairs. My father had the privilege of going inside of this snow house and he said it is quite warm inside. My father's friend spends blizzard nights out in his backyard under the shelter of his 2 foot thick walls of snow. This has inspired me to create my own masterpiece.

Thus on Sunday January 11, 2009 I started building the igloo. I started by creating a circle in the snow that would mark as my outline. I continued to pile up snow on this mountain until it was about 6' high. The next day I applied wooden board along the side to start to shape it, and I left it to freeze over night. This is what the igloo looks like so far. It kind of look more like a tee pee but it will look better when its finished.

In other news, I sure you have all seen my Asian Accent video. I have heard a lot of feedback from that. I hope you enjoyed that. There will be another "Asian Accent" video soon. I'm not going to spoil it all but it is going to be an Asian Cooking Show called "Wok with Me!" So please stay tuned.
